Improper maintenance after selecting a faucet can affect its lifespan, which is a headache for many people. The frequency of using a faucet is high, and it is necessary to use it every day. Under such a high frequency of use, how can we maintain the faucet and increase its service life? In fact, this is not a difficult task. Below, we will teach you that as long as the installation, use, and maintenance are correct and proper, the actual service life of the faucet can not only be extended, but also be maintained as bright as new.
When the air temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius, if the handle of the faucet feels abnormal, it must be soaked with hot water until the handle feels normal before use. Otherwise, it will affect the service life of the faucet valve core.
2. After the faucet is closed, there will be dripping phenomenon, which is a normal phenomenon caused by the presence of residual water in the faucet cavity when the faucet is opened flat. If there is a dripping condition for more than ten minutes in the long term, it is considered a water leakage, indicating that the product has a quality issue.
3. Due to the presence of trace amounts of carbonate in water, scale can form on the surface of the metal and cause corrosion on the surface of the faucet, affecting its cleanliness and service life. So after using the faucet, it is necessary to frequently use a soft cotton cloth or sponge to wipe the surface of the faucet with neutral soap water (note: do not use corrosive or acidic substances to wipe), and then dry the surface with a soft cloth. Avoid using metal wire balls or cleaning cloths with harder particles.
4. Do not use excessive force to turn on or off the faucet, simply roll it gently with the flow. Even traditional faucets do not require significant effort to tighten. Especially, do not use the handle as a handrail to support or use it. Many people tend to turn off the faucet tightly after using it, which is not advisable. Not only does it not prevent water leakage, but it can also cause damage to the sealing valve, resulting in the faucet not being tightly closed.
5. When the water flow decreases, impurities should be removed. If a decrease in water output is found under a water pressure of no less than 0.02 MPa, it is possible that the faucet is blocked. The solution is to use a wrench to gently unscrew the water nozzle screen cover at the outlet of the faucet, clean the impurities, and then carefully install it. Generally, you can recover as usual.
